You can book a ride through Careem to a COVID-19 vaccination center as long as you do not have symptoms and have not been in contact with any COVID-positive person in the past 14 days. You will benefit from Careem’s rigorous safety policies, and avoid congestion at the parking lot of a vaccination center.

Sinopharm’s COVID-19 vaccine
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) announced on 9th December 2020 that it had officially registered the Chinese ‘Sinopharm vaccine’.
Who can get the vaccine?
The Sinopharm vaccine is available to citizens and residents of the UAE 16 and older and the government is encouraging those who are eligible to get vaccinated.
Sinopharm vaccine requires two doses. The first and second doses are taken 21 to 28 days apart.
How to book an appointment?
You might not need an appointment depending on where you live. Timings also vary by vaccination center. We recommend that you contact your nearest vaccination center for the latest information.
In Dubai, you can book an appointment through either the DHA (available on App Store and Google Play) or SEHA app (available on App Store and Google Play) or the call centre by calling on the DHA toll-free number 800-342 or the SEHA toll-free number 800-1717.
As for Abu Dhabi, you can book an appointment through either the SEHA app (available on App Store and Google Play) or the call centre by calling on the toll-free number 800-1717.
Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) announced on 22nd December 2020, the emergency registration of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine. Dubai Health Authority (DHA) started its vaccination drive against COVID-19 using this vaccine shortly after. The vaccine is available to all citizens and residents of the UAE aged above 16 years.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine consists of two doses. The first and second dose are taken 21 days apart.

AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine
The AstraZeneca vaccine is the latest addition to the list of Covid-19 vaccines offered by the DHA approved on Feb 2, 2020. The vaccine is available to all citizens and residents of the UAE aged above 18 years.
The AstraZeneca vaccine consists of two doses. The first and second dose are taken 10 weeks apart.

Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine
On 21st January 2021, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced its approval of Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use in the UAE. Details on availability have not been yet announced.
