The e-Bike return process is confirmed and your trip ends in the app once you are at the station and the bike is securely docked.
Step-by-step return process
- Find a dock: Open the Careem Bike app to locate the nearest station with empty docks.
- Dock the e-bike: Go to the station and push the bike firmly into an empty dock.
- End your trip: Once docked, open your active trip screen and tap End Trip.
- Check for confirmation: Wait for the pop-up message Trip Ended Successful.
If you see 'Trip Not Ended', the return did not go through. Please try again.
If you’re unable to return the e-bike to a dock
Do not leave the bike unattended or unsecured. This may lead to penalties.
Try the following steps instead:
- Find another station
Use the Careem Bike app to locate the next nearest station with available docks. - Secure the bike
Push the bike firmly into an empty dock. - End your trip
Tap End Trip on the active trip screen. - Wait for confirmation
Make sure you see Trip Ended Successful before leaving.
Note: You must be physically at the station with the bike docked when tapping 'End Trip'. Ending the trip away from the station will not work and will continue charging you.
