To return the bike simply follow the below steps:
- Use the app to find a nearby station with an open dock and head there.
- Align the triangle on the front of the bike with the dock.
- Firmly insert the bike into the dock, holding the handle with one hand and the seat with the other.
- A green light and a buzzer sound will confirm that the bike is securely locked.
- Give the bike a gentle pull to ensure it's locked in place.
- If the bike isn’t locked, try docking it again at the same or another available dock.
If you are not able to return the bike:
Feel free to reach out to us through any of the support channels by following these steps
- Tap on ‘Menu’ from the Careem App home page
- Tap on ‘Help’
- Select the category as ‘Bike’ from the drawer on top
- Select one of the issue types to reach out to us.
If you cannot find an empty dock:
In this case, we request you not to leave the bike unattended and unsecured at any point of time.
You can try to:
- Open the Careem Bike app and find the next nearest station to you
- Reach out to us through the Bike support channels (timings 8 AM - 11 PM) and they will assist you
If there is a technical issue with the dock:
In this case:
- If there is a bike in the dock and there is a red light, this means the bike is broken and cannot be used until it is fixed by a technician
- If there is no bike on the dock, then the red light means there is an issue with the dock and it will not accept a bike to return
