To return a Careem E-Bike, please follow the below steps:
- Click on E-Bike from the App home page
- Find the nearest station with an open dock, and go there
- Align the triangle on the front of the bike with the dock.
- Insert the bike firmly into the dock, holding the handle with one hand and the seat with the other
- Wait for the green light and buzzer to confirm the bike is locked.
- Pull the e-bike to ensure it’s secured.
- Check the app for the trip end notification.
- If no light or a red light appears, try again at the same or another dock.
Steps for returning a e-bike with a flat or low tyre:
- Align the e-bike's triangle (below the basket) with the dock's slot.
- Lift the e-bike holding both handles
- Insert the e-bike firmly until the green buzzer confirms its locked.
- If no empty dock is available: Do not leave the e-bike unattended, instead try to take the e-bike to a different station. If the e-bike is lost or stolen, a penalty of 3000 will apply.
Note:
- Do not return the e-bike to a dock with a red light, as it indicates a malfunction and can't accept e-bike returns.
- If the app shows a ride is still active, the bike is likely misaligned. Try and dock again or try a different slot.
