Your e-Scooter return process is confirmed and your trip ends in the app once you are at a station and the scooter is securely docked in the rack.
Step-by-step return process
- Find a dock: Open the Careem Bike app to locate a nearby station with empty docks.
- Dock the e-Scooter: Push the scooter firmly into an empty dock at the station.
- End your trip: Go to your active trip screen and tap End Trip.
- Check for confirmation: Wait for the pop-up message Trip Ended Successful.
If you see 'Trip Not Ended', the return did not complete. Please try again.
If you’re unable to return the e-Scooter to a dock
Never leave the scooter unattended or unsecured, as this may lead to penalties.
Here’s what to do instead:
- Find another station: Use the Careem Bike app to locate the next closest station with available docks.
- Secure the scooter: Push the scooter firmly into an empty dock.
- End your trip: Tap End Trip on the active trip screen.
- Confirm success: Make sure the app shows Trip Ended Successful before leaving.
Note: You must be physically present at the station and the scooter must be properly docked when you tap End Trip. Ending the trip from elsewhere will not work and will continue charging you.
